Safe and Non-Toxic Nail Polish - ft. Scotch Naturals & Suncoat

Hi everyone! Ever since I was a kid I love putting on nail polish, no matter the fumes that it exposes around my surroundings. And I never had an precise understanding why my mom would not particularly like it, when I put on nail polish (even though it's only clear with sparkles). It was not until later years, when I started to go with more natural ways of living, from everyday household products we use to beauty related items. I couldn't believe on how many harmful chemicals are put into the products us adults, teens, and even babies use everyday. It is honestly frightening for companies who do this to not only their customers, but ultimately to themselves and their love ones. (Because of the harmful fumes that is emitted into the air we breathe, kind of like smoking not only will it affect you but also everyone) Anyways, I feel like I'm getting a bit off topic.

Scotch Naturals and Suncoat are water-based nail polish which is amazing because they don't have fumes when applying them on. Meaning your pets can be beside you when you apply them on. (I used to always feel like I'm under water when I apply the non water-based polish and they always give me a big headache)
Anyways, let's get to it on how I feel about these nail polishes! But before I get into the pros and cons with these products I would like to point out that Scotch is more of a creme finish (though I notice extremely small shimmers that is not noticeable until you stare at it in the sunlight) and Suncoat usually offers metallic and shimmery nail polish.


Scotch Naturals: Morning Glory Fizz (lavender) 10.5ml
CONS: will have a chance of peeling when you are in the shower without top coat
             needs at least 3 coats
             kind of pricey 15-20 CAD with the amount you get
PROS:  no fumes
             dries fast
             with the number of coats you need to apply, it actually doesn't look thick
             the colour is true to the bottle
             the brush makes the process of apply so easy and clean 







Suncoat: Nail Polish - Clear 15ml - 9 CAD
CONS: n/a
PROS: no fumes
           dries fast and clear
           does not peel when taking a shower 
           vegan



           helps scotch nail polish last longer

Nail Polish Remover
CONS: n/a
PROS: Corn and Soya based
            takes off nail polish easily (both suncoat and scotch)
            vegan
            non-drying (great for dry or brittle nails)

Overall, I really enjoy using these products. Although, it may not be as long lasting and the lack of colours available (compared to OPI and essie) but it is well worth a try!
